We just ended the last full week of April. The first month of the season has been outstanding and we’re seeing established stars continue their rise, but new ones are starting to emerge. Here are the best hitters of this past week
Fernando Tatis Jr. SD
Has a friend ever told you that they could do something with their eyes closed and a hand tied behind their back? Well, Tatis Jr. came close. He suffered a shoulder injury early in the season, kind leaving him with one arm, and during his monstrous weekend against the Dodgers, he would mimic Trevor Bauer‘s one eye move he pulled during spring training.
The San Diego shortstop would hit five home runs (leading the National League last week) and have six RBI in the three-game series against the National League West rivals, earning him National League Co-Players Of The Week with Madison Bumgarner.
Adolis Garcia TEX
The Rangers aren’t going to make much noise in what looks to be a competitive American League West, but they are looking into the future, and Garcia could be a part of it.
The rookie had a monstrous week which included three home runs and seven RBIs. He would have four home runs last week, leading the American League and earning him American League Player Of The Week honors.
Bryce Harper PHI
Although the Phillies sit a game under .500, they’re just half a game out of first place in an interesting National League East. Harper has been playing well this year as he tied for third in home runs in the National League, and top five in On Base Percentage and Slugging Percentage.

Last week helped him tremendously as he went off with four home runs and led the league in AVG, SLG, and OBP, and hits.
David Peralta ARI
Peralta earns his way into the conversation thanks to a big-time game. Peralta had a five-hit and seven RBI game against Cincinnati.
He also had a hit in six consecutive games and seven of eight.
