Miami Dolphins Sign Ereck Flowers

After a horrific season, the Miami Dolphins are bolstering their offensive line ahead of potentially adding a rookie quarterback in the NFL Draft.

The Dolphins have snagged offensive lineman Ereck Flowers on a three-year deal that guarantees him $19.95 million but is worth up to $30 million.

Flowers is originally from Miami and played college with the Hurricanes so it is a homecoming deal for the 25-year-old star lineman. Flowers was originally drafted by the New York Giants in 2015 but struggled and was flipped to the Redskins, with whom he played much better.

He has started 71 games over the course of his career and should be able to start for Miami all 16 games next season. He does have off-the-field antics that may raise some concern but going back home should give him a sense of comfort which could throw those concerns aside.

Overall, the Dolphins need to address their entire roster and will likely be very aggressive this offseason. This is the first of many moves to come.
