In what has been one of the best sports performances of 2020, Tiger Woods and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning held off a hot Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson in “The Match,” an epic golf battle that supported various COVID-19 relief funds.

The tournament was played at Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla., and helped raise over $10 million of relief aid for the coronavirus.

The players played in carts without caddies in an attempt to maintain social distancing measures.

It was a one-up win for Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning over Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady. After a 45-minute weather delay, the fun started social media was set ablaze.

Eli Manning was all over Twitter cracking jokes about his brothers and Brady, and the Buccaneers quarterback was taking and giving shots with Woods and Mickelson as he spoke with the TNT broadcasters via an earpiece.

Manning and Woods quickly gained a three-hole lead on the front nine Brady had some heroics on the seventh but the duo prevailed.  The rain coupled with a late push by Brady and Mickelson slowed Woods and Manning down but they prevailed and won by a single hole.

Russell Wilson made some comments pre-match which started the social media frenzy of the day. He also later on donated 300,000 meals to charity after Mickelson, Brady, and Manning each drove within 12 feet of the hole.

Brady had some heroics—including this shot of the day—but was fairly rusty otherwise.

Manning and the others took lighthearted shots at Brady, too:

All in all, it was a successful event in which all parties enjoyed and helped benefit people who need charity.
