Key Games on the 2018 Red Sox Schedule

The 2018 MLB schedule it out, well at least the days the games will be on. The Boston Red Sox have a handful of games/dates to keep an eye on.

March 29

The Red Sox will open the season on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays. Boston is 37-36 against their AL East foes since 2010.

April 5

After playing ball in the Sunshine State for roughly five months (Spring Training, and the first two series of the year against the Rays and Miami Marlins), the Red Sox will return home for their home opener against the Rays.

April 10

Here the Red Sox will welcome the New York Yankees to town for the first time in 2018. If this season is any indication of how the AL East is heading down the road, every game is going to be pivotal.

May 3

This tilt against the Texas Rangers is the beginning of the Red Sox first 10-game, 11-day road trip – spanning from May 3 to May 13. Matchups against the Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays will finish cap the trip.

Boston will begin a three-game series on the road against the Bryce Harper-led Nationals.  The Red Sox have not faced Washington since 2015, when they took two out of three, to open the season at home.

July 30

The Red Sox will host the Philadelphia Phillies in this Tuesday game, which happenes to fall the day before the MLB Trade Deadline.

Aug. 20

The reigning AL champion Cleveland Indians make their first trip to Fenway.

Sept. 14

The Red Sox will embark on perhaps what will be their toughest stretch of games. First up is a three-game home series against the New York Mets (Sept. 14-16), which is followed by a three-game series on the road against the Yankees (Sept. 18-20), then Boston will visit the Indians (Sept. 21-23), before returning home to end the regular season with three-game sets against the Baltimore Orioles (Sept. 24-26) and the Yankees (Sept. 28-30).
