When the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup in 2011, the feeling was indescribable.

This summer, similar to that one in 2011, was a pretty good one. In a little under three weeks, the now 49-year-old Recchi (yes, he was 43 when he won the cup) had become the Pittsburgh Penguins director of player development, named to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and then added the role of assistant coach of the Pittsburg Penguins to his resume. Also – all of this started around six days after the Penguins won their second Stanley Cup in two years.

Recchi is also married with six children.
