Prime Time Sports Talk staff have maximized their skills with us and secured jobs with media powerhouses like The Athletic, USA TODAY Media Group, and SB Nation, as well as local subsidiaries of FOX, ABC, and iHeart Radio.

Editor: Editors are expected to proofread and make edits to articles that have been submitted by authors. Tasks include editing for grammar and clarity, formatting, adding images, composing excerpts and social media posts, scheduling articles, and communicating with authors. Department Head: Department Heads are expected to lead the staff covering a specific sport. Tasks include brainstorming content for the site, communicating with authors, and submitting their own articles. Department Heads are not expected to edit articles unless they also apply to be an Editor.

Author: Authors make up the framework of Prime Time Sports Talk and are an integral part of our staff. Authors should be prepared to submit at least one article per week. This task requires basic understanding of editorial procedures, grammar, and AP Style, but we are willing to teach these skills to candidates who may be unfamiliar. Experience is not required, and we’re committed to helping you grow. Authors can expect to receive hands-on feedback from editors in an effort to maximize their writing skills.

Media/Podcaster: We are looking to fill various multimedia positions, including YouTube contributors, podcasters, and social media assistants. These roles are new and very flexible, so in your application, we encourage you to describe the type of role you envision.

All Prime Time Sports Talk staff who have existing social media accounts are expected to maintain an active presence by interacting with colleagues, fans, and other media members. Candidates will be evaluated based on their social media professionalism but will not be discredited if they do not have social media.
