Fluidity10/10 Seeing this man do the drills at the combine was so impressive. His hip movement is extraordinary and nothing looks awkward with him. He flips his hips upfield and runs step-for-step with receivers. Incredible.
Speed/Acceleration8.5/10 He’s not a speed demon, but he’s more than fast enough to rival any receiver in football. I’m not sure why Trevor Lawrence continued to target him throughout the National Playoff game, but he was locking down Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross.
Man Coverage Ability10/10 I’m convinced that he could stick with any receiver that you tell him to cover. As I said earlier, the way he flips his hips upfield while staying on his man is incredible. Impressive length too. Always manages to get an arm in there.
Zone Coverage Ability9/10 Much better in this department than he was in 2018. At times, he gives the receivers a bit too much breathing room, but he’s able to close the gap so fast that it rarely results in big plays.
Tackling9/10 Cuts down the ballcarrier effectively. His length allows him to make difficult tackles look easy. Occasionally misses because he’s late to the point of reception, but this is a rarity.
Ball Skills8/10 Great at creating leverage on receivers by positioning himself to make a play on the ball. He missed some opportunities for turnovers but he is disruptive when it comes to breaking up the pass.
Run Support 9/10 He has a fantastic burst that allows him to close the gap on the ballcarrier. Definitely reliable here.
Competitive Toughness10/10 Extremely hard worker with a nonstop motor. He plays like he’s the best player on the field at all times.
Awareness9.5/10 Very good with adjusting to different coverages. Intelligent player with a fantastic work ethic and leadership traits.
Versatility10/10 Okudah can do it all.
Overview

93/100 There’s no doubt in my mind that Jeff Okudah is a special talent. He’s the clear-cut CB1 in this draft because he can do it all. Other corners in this class have clear weaknesses, but not Okudah. He has good size with impressive lateral quickness and a fantastic motor. definitely, a future All-Pro barring unforeseen circumstances.

Round Grade: Early First

Pro Comparison: Marshon Lattimore
