Isaiah Thomas to Miss the Remainder of the Postseason

After experiencing two blowout losses at the hands of LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers, the Celtics have officially lost their undisputed leader, Isaiah Thomas for the rest of the postseason.

This comes only one day after Thomas exited Game No. 2 with some form of a hip injury. While the severity of the situation was left ambiguous, reports were circulating that Thomas had apparently suffered the injury during the series against the Washington Wizards.

This has to leave fans wondering though, does the situation truly demand that Thomas sits out for the rest of the postseason? Or did the Celtics decide it would be in Thomas’ best interest to not put him in any further danger, considering the teams chances of beating Cleveland are slim-to-none?

Regardless, in any normal circumstances, Thomas’ absense would be devastating, considering he’s the only player who can consistently manufacture offense for the Celtics. However, against an overwhelming force like the Cavaliers, the loss of Thomas will only mean that Celtics fans can expect more record-breaking blowouts to come.
