Injury Updates: Latest on Josh Gordon, Pair of Starters Limited, Izzo and Bennett Absent

The New England Patriots will most likely be down a trio of offensive weapons for Monday Night Football.

Per Jim McBride, wide receiver Josh Gordon has not practiced Thursday or today after sustaining an injury last Thursday against the New York Giants.

Gordon who has 20 receptions and a score on the season, is dealing with knee and ankle ailments and is unlikely to play come Monday.

However, there have been reports coming out of the locker room that Gordon has indeed strolled into the facility without a limp and may be being held out as a precaution.

In addition, tight ends Ryan Izzo and Matt LaCosse were not seen at practice today and the only tight ends available to the media were Eric Tomlinson and Benjamin Watson. The duo will likely be out for Monday night’s game.

Two starters wide receiver Julian Edelman (chest/ribs) and safety Patrick Chung (heel/chest) have reportedly participated in a limited capacity all week but are expected to play.

Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) was also a limited participant and his status is more so up in the air at this point but bet on him playing.

Michael Bennett was expectedly absent as a result of his suspension for conduct detrimental for the team.

The Patriots take on the New York Jets Monday night at 8:15 p.m.
