Get Ready for Another “Super” Saturday at Gillette Stadium

For the hundreds of hungry, battle tested high school superstars set to take the field Friday and Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, this weekend marks the culmination of over a year’s work of blood, sweat, and tears.

As they have done for many years, Patriots owner Robert Kraft is, once again, hosting all 8 of the MIAA High School Super Bowls this Friday and Saturday. All 8 divisions will be represented, starting with two games on Friday night and six more the following day.

But this isn’t just any other game. These kids have worked tirelessly in the film room, weight room, and on the field to reach the pinnacle of high school football – a state championship.

This weekend, it all comes down to who can handle the bright lights, and which team can pick themselves up after falling down.

That’s what a championship team is – one unit with everyone in sync, everyone on board, and everyone doing whatever it takes to achieve perfection.

For teams like Stoneham, Scituate, North Andover, and Catholic Memorial who haven’t played on this stage in over twenty years, a victory will not just immortalize the players and coaches – it will impact their entire communities as a whole.

But for teams who have been on this stage, such as Nashoba, King Philip, and Blackstone Valley, this game is a business trip – a chance to avenge a Super Bowl hangover from a season ago, or an opportunity to build upon a dynasty.

For one day, these games will bring together teammates, coaches, friends, family, fans, and entire communities.

And there is no better place to win a state championship in the house that Brady and Belichick built. It is a place where championships are expected, the “mecca” of high school sports.

So, it’s here – the chance to become a local legend, and the chance to become apart of history.
