Week 15

As the NFL starts to wind down and gear up for the playoffs, it is now time to crown the Team of the Week for Week 15. Last Week the Philadelphia Eagles received that honor mainly because they were the first team to claim a playoff spot. However, this week there is a new addition to the list, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

T to Z

The connection of Trevor Lawrence to Zay Jones is an unexpected surprise. Especially because their top target in previous seasons, Laviska Shenualt Jr, signed with the Carolina Panthers. Lawrence completed 27-of-45 for 318 yards, along with four touchdowns. Zay had six receptions for 109 yards and three touchdowns. Marvin Jones had the last touchdown with two catches for 17 yards on the day.

On top of that, Lawrence has been playing his best stretch of football in his career. In the last five games, he has thrown 13 touchdowns with just one interception, which is the best in the league.

Effective Running Game

In this game, Travis Etienne proved why he was picked in the first round by Urban Meyer. Etienne had 19 carries for 103 yards. Behind him was Jamal Agnew with three runs for 52 yards.

Doug Peterson: Coach of the Year?

Like Dan Campbell, Doug Peterson has taken his team from the bottom of the league to teams that other teams now have to take notice of. If the Jaguars can get a win on Thursday and a Titans’ loss on Saturday, then Doug Peterson deserves a Coach of the Year nomination.

Jaguars Roaring Back

At the beginning of the season, no one thought the Jags would be 6-8 on top of that a position to take first place in the AFC South. However, the Tennessee Titans (the team in first place as of right now) seem to be in a downward spiral. Nevertheless, the Jags have an opportunity with a win against the New York Jets and a Titans loss against the Houston Texans in Week 16. Keep in mind the Texans went toe-to-toe these past two weeks against the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.
