Gates’ Top NFL Team From Week 8 (2024)

NFL Bills WR Keon Coleman

The 2024 NFL regular season is nearly halfway over. However, the league remains highly unpredictable from week to week. Our Team of the Week from Week 8 embodies this mentality.

The top team from Week 8 is the Buffalo Bills. It’s the first time they have received the honor this season.

Jimmy Cooks

The lyric “this a different mode” from “Jimmy Cooks” by Drake perfectly captures the essence of James Cook, a running back for the Buffalo Bills. Against a good Seattle Seahawks defense, Cook had 17 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Cook is truly in a “this a different mode” when running the football. He adds another dimension to an already great Bills offense.

Josh Allen‘s MVP Campaign

As NFL media discusses the MVP race, they should seriously consider Bills quarterback Josh Allen. This season, Allen’s statistics have been impressive. He ranks 11th in passing yards with 1,766, is tied for fifth in touchdowns with 14, and stands fourth in QBR with a rating of 73.8. Despite being known as a turnover-prone quarterback, he has only thrown one interception in eight games. This week, he completed 24 of 34 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns, adding seven carries for 52 yards.

Keon The Troll

During the game against Seattle, Keon Coleman was guarded by cornerback Riq Woolen. Woolen broke up a pass intended for Coleman and then taunted him. In response, Coleman made an incredible catch over Woolen and celebrated by hitting his helmet. Ultimately, Keon Coleman had the last laugh as his team defeated the Seahawks with a final score of 31-10.

Buffalo Catching Everything

Buffalo’s receivers performed exceptionally well against Seattle’s defense. The leading receiver for the Bills was Kahlil Shakir, who recorded nine catches and 107 yards. A key strength of the Bills’ offense is their ability to distribute the ball effectively, allowing multiple receivers to score touchdowns. Keon Coleman contributed with a touchdown and five catches for 70 yards while Dalton Kincaid also scored, adding four receptions for 31 yards.

Is Seattle Buffalo West?

Bills fans invaded Lumen Field, rendering the home crowd’s 12th-man advantage ineffective in this game. Lumen Field has previously registered an earthquake due to the noise levels in the stadium. By the end of this game, though, the Bills Mafia was having a mini-concert, singing “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers, which has now become the unofficial anthem for the 2024 Bills.

The Buffalo Bills dominated the Seattle Seahawks in one of the premier matchups of this NFL week. Currently, the Bills hold a comfortable four-game lead in the AFC East while the Seahawks face challenges in their pursuit of the NFC West title.
