Jacob Grandison had a career night, as his career-high 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting led the Crusaders to victory. Grandison was backed up by fellow freshman Caleb Green who scored 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting and Austin Butler who scored 10 points and led the Crusaders with seven rebounds.

Juniors Jehyve Floyd and Karl Charles also added double-digit scoring efforts to help seal the victory. Charles scored 12 points despite shooting 4-of-12 from the field, while Floyd added 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting, along with a team-high five blocks. Holy Cross’s bench combined for only four points

Loyola (MD), who shot 37 percent from the field as a team, were led by sophomore guard Andrew Kostecka’s 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting. Sophomore guard Chuck Champion added 13 points from the bench, shooting 50 percent from the field.

Holy Cross outrebounded their opponents for only the second time this season, as they grabbed 32 rebounds versus the Greyhound’s 26. While both teams shot less than 27 percent from three-point range, the Crusades succeeded in knocking down their two-point shots, as they shot 54 percent from the field as a team.

This game was a solid all-around performance from the Crusaders starting five, as they all played upwards of 30 minutes in the game and contributed 69 of the total 73 points the Crusaders scored. All of five starters ended in the double-digits in scoring.

The Crusaders (8-15, 5-7) are tied for sixth in the Patriot League and next face-off against fifth-placed Navy (15-10, 6-6) on Feb. 7 at 7:05 p.m, looking to avenge an overtime loss to the Midshipmen from earlier this year.
