Play: Jeff Skinner (BUF) OVER 2.5 Shots on Goal (+110)

Justification:

When you’re hot, you’re hot. Just ask Buffalo Sabres forward Jeff Skinner, who’s currently riding a six-game point streak. After a tumultuous couple of years in the Queen City, Skinner has continued his excellent play thus far during the 2022-23 NHL campaign. This afternoon, Skinner and the Sabres take on the Calgary Flames in a game that should be filled with scoring chances and offensive output.

As a key cog on Buffalo’s top line and first unit power-play, Skinner should get plenty of good looks to exceed his current prop of 2.5 shots on goal. His ice time is up, his production is up, and simply put, this is a player who’s playing some excellent hockey at the moment, having amassed 50 points in 47 games played this year (1.06 PPG). At plus money (+110), this one seems like an absolute no-brainer. Ride with the OVER on this one, and best of luck, fellow sports bettors.

Do We Really Need All-Star Games Anymore?

It is safe to say last weekend’s event re-ignited the long-running criticisms of the NBA All-Star Game, which has historically been an event where most will only play at about half of their usual intensity to let their fellow players shine. Five players cracked the 30-point barrier, and Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves scored an eye-popping 50 points.
