James Bradberry is potentially the best player currently available in the free agency pool. With Odell Beckham Jr., Jadeveon Clowney, Akiem Hicks, Jarvis Landry, and Melvin Ingram available, Bradberry is the best. After being released by the New York Giants earlier this week, he does have a vast market available to him. After cutting him, the Giants freed up $10 Million in cap space but left the team short at the corner position. However, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. The 28-year-old is still in the prime of his career and offers teams a solid corner to bolster their secondary. At the same time, he still has many good years left in the league, and teams need to inquire about him.
While he had a Pro Bowl selection two seasons ago, Bradberry did regress this past season, and it’s the main reason the Giants cut him. However, the hope is that he just needs a new change of scenery to get back to his Pro Bowl level. While the 2021 season was horrible for the Giants, it also saw a regression of many players on the roster. PFF gave Bradberry a 62.8 overall grade on the season. It was a significant drop-off from his previous year. At the same time, he did have four interceptions paired with 47 combined tackles and two fumble recoveries. It’s not often that a player of Bradberry caliber gets on the open market this late into the offseason. But it happened, and not we have to look at his best landing spots.

San Francisco 49ers
With the 49ers needing help at the corner position, Bradberry could step in for the team. After the Niners didn’t focus on the corner position in the draft, Bradberry is the solution. Although they need corner help, they could be in a bind with how much money to give him. With Bradberry being 28 going on 29 before the start of the season, the 49ers might not want to pay him a lot. Also, with the team in a bad cap situation, they have to figure out if they will compete with the Los Angeles Rams this year.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings need to bring in a big-time corner, and Bradberry could fit in. With a horrendous secondary last year, he could immediately become the No. 1 option for the team. The Vikings need to do something with the Green Bay Packers in the division as they are the runaway favorites until further notice. Bradberry could potentially be the difference in a game against the Packers by causing havoc to the young receiving core. It’s worth a shot for the team to take a flyer on.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys need another corner opposite Trevon Diggs. Diggs is the best at getting turnovers but is prone to give up big yards. With Bradberry on the team, he could take the No. 1 receiver and let Diggs feast on the other side. Diggs and Bradberry would quickly form a scary duo in the secondary. At the same time, Jerry Jones is prone to being cheap in free agency and has a philosophy of building through the draft. If Jones decides to go big and bring in Bradberry, it could be huge. The duo of Bradberry and Diggs in the secondary could be trouble for teams.
Cincinnati Bengals
Coming off a Super Bowl loss, the Bengals need to bring in help in the secondary. The Bengals need help in the secondary with Eli Apple and Chidobe Awuzie starting. Adding Bradberry to the roster would be the move that brings the team back to the Super Bowl. After much speculation that they would target one of the top corners in the draft, the Bengals left with none taken. Bradberry could be a massive upgrade and a veteran leader to a very young roster in the locker room.
