Fantasy players will have to decide whether last week’s high-scoring running back is a sign of things to come or a fluke. However, the most critical part of the waiver wire is finding the right players to stream for the upcoming matchup. Whether you need an injury replacement or your current starter has a bad matchup, it is critical to find the right player to stream. With that in mind, here are eight potential streaming options for Week 16.

The following players are own in under 50 percent of ESPN leagues. All stats are based on four-point per passing touchdown and PPR scoring.

Justin Fields at Seattle Seahawks (25.4%)

While the Chicago Bears continue to lose football games, fantasy owners have to be happy with Fields lately. Over his past four healthy games, Fields has averaged 19.7 fantasy points per game, scoring at least 16.9 fantasy points in every contest. Furthermore, he has been great on the ground, averaging 7.9 fantasy points per game with his legs during that span. More importantly, Fields has at least 280 passing yards in two of those four games. This week, he takes on a Seahawks defense that has given up an average of 17 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. They have given up at least 290 passing yards to quarterbacks in four of the past six games. Fields should have no trouble scoring 20 fantasy points against the Seahawks.

Jimmy Garoppolo at Tennessee Titans (20.7%)

Last week Garoppolo scored only 13.8 fantasy points despite a great matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. However, he had only 23 pass attempts, leading to the poor fantasy performance. While the San Francisco 49ers blew out the Falcons last week, they won’t be able to do that this week. When Garoppolo has at least 28 pass attempts this season, he has averaged 19.5 fantasy points per game. For reference, opposing quarterbacks have averaged 37.2 pass attempts per game against the Titans this season. More importantly, the Titans have given up an average of 18.2 fantasy points per game this season to quarterbacks. They have given up 19 or more fantasy points to quarterbacks in half the games this season. This week, Garoppolo offers a safe floor option for fantasy owners.

Cole Kmet at Seattle Seahawks (22.6%)

On Monday night, Kmet had one of his best games this season finishing, with six catches for 71 receiving yards and 13.1 fantasy points. Furthermore, he has averaged eight targets per game over the past four weeks, seeing at least seven in three of those games. More importantly, Kmet has averaged 9.4 fantasy points per game over the past six games, scoring 13 or more fantasy points in half of those contests. This week, he takes on a Seahawks defense that has given up an average of 15.1 fantasy points per game to tight ends this season. They have given up 15.5 or more fantasy points to tight ends in three of the past five games. Expect Kmet to keep up his recent play against a struggling Seattle secondary.

C.J. Uzomah vs Baltimore Ravens (12.6%)

Despite scoring under 10 fantasy points in seven straight games, Uzomah is an excellent option this week for fantasy owners. Over the past three weeks, he has averaged 5.3 targets per game. More importantly, Uzomah had 95 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 24.1 fantasy points against the Ravens earlier this season. Meanwhile, the Ravens have given up an average of 16 fantasy points per game this season to tight ends. They have given up at least 14 fantasy points to tight ends in three of their past four games, including to the Green Bay Packers’ tight ends last week. While the Cincinnati Bengals have an excellent trio of wide receivers, don’t be surprised if Uzomah scores at least one touchdown in this critical AFC North showdown.

Philadelphia Eagles D/ST vs New York Giants (37.9%)

After a tough start this season, the Eagles D/ST has picked up its play lately. Over the past seven games, the Eagles D/ST has averaged 8.4 fantasy points per game. They have scored 11 or more fantasy points in three of those contests. Furthermore, they are second in the NFL with four defensive touchdowns scored this season. Meanwhile, the Giants have been fantasy gold for opposing D/STs this season, giving up an averaging of 7.2 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, opposing D/STs have averaged 9.6 fantasy points per game against the Giants over the past five weeks, scoring 10 or more fantasy points in three of those contests. With Daniel Jones out for the season, fantasy owners can feel confident streaming D/STs against the Giants’ offense.

Los Angeles Chargers D/ST at Houston Texans (33.0%)

Unfortunately, the Chargers won’t have Joey Bosa this week after being placed on the Covid-19 list on Monday. While they scored negative one fantasy point against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, the Chargers D/ST averaged 9.3 fantasy points per game over the previous three games. More importantly, they have a great matchup this week against the Texans. Opposing D/STs have averaged 8.5 fantasy points per game against the Texans this season, scoring 10 or more fantasy points in half of the contests. Furthermore, opposing D/STs have averaged 8.5 fantasy points per game against the Texans over the past four weeks, scoring 10 or more in half of those games. Even without Bosa, the Chargers D/ST is an excellent streaming option.

Mason Crosby vs Cleveland Browns (45.7%)

The veteran kicker has struggled at times this season. However, he has been very productive for fantasy owners recently. Crosby has averaged nine fantasy points per game over the past four games, scoring at least seven fantasy points in every contest. Furthermore, he made six of his eight field goals and all 17 of his extra-point attempts during that span. This week, he takes on a Browns team that has given up an average of 7.2 fantasy points per game to kickers this season. However, they have given up 12 or more fantasy points to kickers in three straight games. With their Green Bay offense clicking, expect Crosby to get plenty of kicking opportunities in this contest on Christmas day.

Younghoe Koo vs Detroit Lions (39.1%)

Coming off a career season in 2020, many had high hopes for Koo this season. Unfortunately, he has averaged only 6.7 fantasy points per game in 2021. However, Koo has played better lately, averaging 8.3 fantasy points per game over the past three weeks. Furthermore, he has scored eight or more fantasy points in six of the past 10 games. Meanwhile, the Lions have given up an average of 10 fantasy points per game to kickers this season, the most in the NFL. They have given up at least 10 fantasy points to kickers in three of the past four games. While the Falcons’ offense isn’t scoring at the same rate it did last year, Koo should finish the week as a top-five kicker.
