Fanelli’s Fave Five Prop Bets for MNF: Washington Football Team vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Thanksgiving seems like a long time ago, yet we are still dealing with the impact from that day. Originally the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers were supposed to play on Thanksgiving. However, because of a Covid-19 problem in the Ravens’ building, the game was postponed till a week later. That forced this game between the Washington Football Team and the Steelers from yesterday to tonight at 5 P.M. est. Washington is fighting to take control as the NFC East division leader while the Steelers try to remain undefeated.

The team’s fan base and fantasy football players will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention. For gamblers, their only rooting interest is whatever will lead to money in their pocket. However, which bets should they place? Here are my five favorite prop bets for tonight’s game.

Antonio Gibson Over 11.5 Rushing Attempts (-120)

As the season has progressed, Gibson has become a bigger part of the Washington offense. After rushing 12 or more times only twice in his first six games this season, Gibson has at least 13 rushing attempts in four of his last five games. Furthermore, Gibson has been on fire the last two weeks, rushing 36 times for 209 yards and four touchdowns. While the Steelers have held running backs to four yards per attempt this season, Washington’s offense runs through Gibson. Expect him to have his fourth straight game with at least 13 rushing attempts.

Eric Ebron Over 3.5 Receptions (-143)

Last week Ebron had a season-high seven receptions against the Ravens. It marked the fourth time in his past six games that Ebron had four or more receptions. He had at least five targets in six straight games, including a season-high 11 last week. Meanwhile, Washington has struggled to slow down tight ends this season. They are giving up an average of 4.7 receptions per game to tight ends, giving up at least four in 73 percent of their games. Look for Ebron to hit the over on this prop bet before the start of the fourth quarter.

Logan Thomas Over 2.5 Receptions (-145)

Washington lacks weapons on offense outside of Gibson and Terry McLaurin. However, Thomas has been a consistent and reliable target for Alex Smith, averaging 5.5 targets per game this season. Thomas has three or more receptions in all but three games this season, including five of his last six games. Meanwhile, the Steelers have done a good job containing tight ends, keeping them under 75 receiving yards in every game and giving up only one touchdown to the position. However, tight ends are averaging 3.3 receptions per game against the Steelers, recording three or more in 63 percent of their games this season. While Thomas may not rack up a lot of yards tonight, he’s a lock for three or more receptions.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Over 5.5 Receptions (-152)

Without James Conner last week, the Steelers threw the ball a season-high 51 times. Conner will miss tonight’s game, and the Steelers should have a similar gameplan this week. Against the Ravens, JuJu caught eight of his nine targets and scored a touchdown. It marked the fifth time over his last six games that JuJu had six or more receptions. Furthermore, JuJu is averaging six receptions per game, catching six or more in 64 percent of his game this season. Meanwhile, Washington has given up 14 or more receptions to wide receivers in three straight games despite facing below-average quarterbacks. Expect JuJu to pull in his sixth catch of the game just after halftime.

Antonio Gibson to Score an Anytime Touchdown (+140)

The Steelers have done a good job keeping running backs out of the end zone this season, giving up a rushing touchdown in under half of their games this season. However, Gibson has been on fire lately and is the focal point of the Washington offense, along with McLaurin. Entering Week 13, Gibson is third in the league, with 11 rushing touchdowns, only behind Dalvin Cook and Derrick Henry. Furthermore, Gibson has scored six rushing touchdowns over the last three weeks. The fact that you can get this prop at a positive value is a steal. Gibson is a lock to score tonight.
