Fanelli’s Fave Five Prop Bets for MNF: Seattle Seahawks vs. Philadelphia Eagles

In tonight’s game, we have a matchup between the 7-3 Seattle Seahawks against the 3-6-1 Philadelphia Eagles. Despite the difference in their records, both teams are in the race for their respective division titles. Depending on how the rest of the season shakes out, these two teams could meet up in the first round of playoffs, just like they did last season.

While the team’s fan base and fantasy football players will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention. For gamblers, their only rooting interest is whatever will lead to money in their pocket. However, which bets should they place? Here are my five favorite prop bets for tonight’s game.

Carson Wentz Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-110)

As much as Wentz has struggled this season, he has been consistent in terms of touchdown passes. He has two or more passing touchdowns in 60 percent of his games this season, including five of his last six games. Meanwhile, the Seahawks haven’t been able to stop a nose bleed, let alone the pass this season. They are giving up an average of 1.8 passing touchdowns per game, giving up at least two in 70 percent of their games. This game should be a shootout, so expect Wentz and Russell Wilson to each throw at least two touchdowns tonight.

D.K. Metcalf Under 5.5 Receptions (+120)

Metcalf has been nothing short of a star this season. He is averaging 4.8 receptions for 86.2 receiving yards per game to go along with nine touchdowns. However, since the Seahawks’ bye in Week 6, Metcalf has faced several tough cornerback matchups. Over the last five games, Metcalf has faced four elite cornerbacks. In those four games, he is averaging only 3.5 receptions per game, and tonight he will see plenty of Darius Slay. With Metcalf battling it out with Slay, expect Wilson to throw plenty to Tyler Lockett. Tonight, Metcalf will have his third straight game with under four receptions.

Travis Fulgham Under 3.5 Receptions (+105)

When the Eagles needed someone to step up at wide receiver, Fulgham did. Over his first five games in Philadelphia, Fulgham averaged almost six receptions per game. However, since the bye week, Fulgham has struggled, totaling two receptions on 12 targets over the last two weeks. Jalen Reagor has taken over as the team’s go-to wide receivers, while Dallas Goedert and Alshon Jeffery have returned from injury. While the Seahawks give up plenty of receptions to wide receivers, Fulgham’s recent struggles have made him hard to trust. Expect him to have another quiet game this week.

Will Dissly Over 2.5 Receptions (+140)

After the unfortunate injury to Greg Olsen last week, Dissly will take over as the starting tight end tonight. Dissly has dealt with injuries of his own so far in his career, and despite a limited backup role this season, he has at least one reception in every game. Furthermore, he has two or more in 40 percent of the games this season. Meanwhile, the Eagles have given up an average of 5.5 receptions per game to tight ends, giving up at least three in all but one game this season. With Metcalf facing a tough matchup, expect Wilson to look Dissly’s way plenty in tonight’s game.

Jalen Reagor Over 44.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

The rookie hasn’t had the ideal first year in the league, missing five games because of an injury. However, Reagor has 41 or more receiving yards in four of the five games he’s played this season, including 47 or more receiving yards in two straight games. Since the Eagles’ bye week, Reagor is averaging four receptions on six targets for 49.5 receiving yards per game. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have been awful against the pass this season, giving up an average of 260 receiving yards per game to wide receivers. Reagor is becoming Wentz’s go-to target, and he should hit the over on this prop bet sometime in the third quarter.
