What a year for the Phoenix Suns. Although it was a disappointing finish, getting to the NBA Finals was a huge deal. The Suns did this after missing the playoffs the previous year. Now that they’ve re-signed Chris Paul, and added two key rotation pieces, Phoenix is now prepared to make another run to the NBA Finals. This time, they hope the result ends in an NBA title. We’ll see how it goes this upcoming season.

The Phoenix Suns will return to the NBA Finals

After getting within two games of winning the championship, the Suns will be coming back with a vengeance this upcoming season. However, the road back to the NBA Finals will be a tough one. The Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, and Golden State Warriors will all be back at full strength next season. The Suns have done a great job of adding two rotation pieces in Javale McGee and Landry Shamet. Still, it will be difficult for them to return to the NBA Finals next season.

Monty Williams will Win Coach of the Year

It didn’t take long for coach Williams to make an impact. In just his second season in Phoenix, he coached the team to their first NBA Finals appearance in 28 years. This, the year after they went 8-0 in the bubble before missing the playoffs. That team showed a lot of promise and build off of it the next season. A calming presence in the locker room, Williams has earned the respect of his players. With the new additions, the Suns are a top-three seed in the West and could finish as the top seed With that being said, expect coach Williams to win NBA coach of the year.

Devin Booker will be an NBA MVP Finalist

Booker is coming off a strong season in Phoenix. Despite playing with another star guard, he still averaged 25.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game, while shooting 48.4 percent from the field. He’s improved his game from being a good shooter to an elite isolation player. Booker took his game to an even higher level during the postseason, with 27.7 points, five rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. After getting a taste of the NBA Finals, and winning gold in the Olympics, expect his game to further improve next season.
