Morals Aside Ep. 16: World Cup, Edelman Appeal, Kim Jong Un

Join Prime Time Sports Talk’s Jacob Solkoff and Mikey Berkowitz as they put their Morals Aside to give their bold and controversial sports takes and voice their politically incorrect opinions. But mostly sports news. At least that’s the plan. This will either be your favorite podcast featuring two outrageously hilarious hosts or your least favorite podcast featuring two horribly sad excuses for people. Solid 30/70.

Because Mikey and I love everyone so much, we have decided to upload every single episode right here on the Prime Time Sports Talk website, as well as on Apple Podcasts, SoundCloud, and Google Play.

P.S.: We said only 30% of people will like us. Regardless of that number, let us know what you think so we can make even more people question our motives. Fill out the contact form at the very bottom of this page and every post to directly contact the Morals Aside crew. Also, find us on Twitter (@MoralsAside) and Facebook (Morals Aside).

The guys have a lot to talk about in this episode of Morals Aside, starting with some smack talk on their mini golf game. Then, the guys get into the end of the FIFA World Cup group stage (2:07-9:26). Afterwards, the guys talk about how much of a joke the NFL is and their most recent mess up with Julian Edelman’s suspension(9:27-14:15). Lastly, the guys give their take on Kim Jong Un’s newest “controversial” decision (14:16-17:53). Of course, the episode wouldn’t be complete without some scorching hot takes. Also included is Arbitrary Athlete Talk.

What’s Wrong with Jack Flaherty?

Jack Flaherty seems to be figuring it out. On 4/22, Flaherty had 18 swinging strikes (40% CSW) with ten total strikeouts in a win at home against the Brewers (6.0 IP 3 H 4 ER 1 BB 10 K). Flaherty was able to dominate with impressive fastball command which has eluded him all season, racking up eight of his 18 swinging strikes on his four-seam fastball. I am a Flaherty owner and have long loved his polish and prospect pedigree, but something is wrong.
