It’s finally time where football finally kicks off once again.
Teams just finalized most of their rosters after the Saturday’s final cuts, and the full teams are almost entirely in place. This ranking will be based on each team’s roster going into Week 1 of the NFL season and how players looked towards the end of last year and during the preseason.
For every five teams, there is a certain “category” attached to them. For example, the top five spots will always be my contenders for the Super Bowl. These five teams at the moment that each power ranking are released will be the teams that I believe have the best chance of making the SuperBowl this February.
Nos. 6-10 are the teams that I expect to win a game or two in the playoffs but are not quite good enough to contend for the big game. The following 11-15 spots are teams that will make the playoffs. Teams ranked 16-20 are borderline teams that are in view of making the playoffs and could sneak in.
Spots 21-25 are teams that are pretenders- teams that should have either been playoff bound but are riddled with injuries or teams that think they are good but their record will show otherwise. The final seven spots are teams that just are not good and should be going through a rebuilding season.
Here are my Week 1 power rankings:
- Patriots
- Rams
- Saints
- Chargers
- Bears
- Chiefs
- Steelers
- Eagles
- Cowboys
- Seahawks
- Texans
- Ravens
- Browns
- Packers
- Falcons
- Vikings
- Titans
- Panthers
- 49ers
- Jets
- Broncos
- Jaguars
- Colts
- Raiders
- Lions
- Bills
- Bengals
- Giants
- Buccaneers
- Redskins
- Dolphins
- Cardinals
One Response
Cardinals being last is laughable
