If you’re ready for some football, then be sure to tune in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game to see the Broncos take on the Falcons.

Football has finally arrived, and to kick off the 2019-20 season we have the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons in a Thursday night contest in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. This is the first matchup between the two teams since October 9, 2016, which ended with a 23-16 win by the Falcons. Each team has made three appearances in the Hall of Fame Game and they both have a 1-2 record, with the Broncos last making an appearance in 2004 and the Falcons in 1994.

It’s also possible we’ll get a look at Kevin Hogan and Brett Rypien behind center. Denver is looking to improve its defense from being 22nd overall in the NFL, and it’s possible since Fangio was able to improve the Chicago Bears’ defense to a No. 1 ranking in 2018.

No matter the outcome of the game, both teams can be proud that they will have new members inducted into the Hall of Fame. The Broncos have their recently deceased owner Pat Bowlen and former cornerback Champ Bailey as inductees, and the Falcons have tight end Tony Gonzalez.

This preseason game has the possibility of a lower score than a normal game, and three of the last four Hall of Fame Games had a total score of 33 points or less.

Prediction

Knowing that the starting quarterbacks for each team will more than likely not make an appearance might make this a good defensive battle. Both teams are in a fight to become better then what they were last year or any previous years. Despite the game not counting for much, it will mean more for those who are giving a chance to play and to the team that determines to begin their year now.

Final Score Prediction: Broncos 17, Falcons 14
