Make sure to check out all of our other scouting reports here.

Fluidity 8/10 Smooth, clean footwork and good lateral quickness. Not elite, but he’s not an elite corner. He should start right away wherever he goes and be a very good number two cornerback.
Speed/Acceleration 8/10 Good long speed. I wouldn’t put him in man coverage against Tyreek Hill, but he’s very quick and has quick acceleration. Good anticipation as well.
Man Coverage Ability 9/10 Fantastic at sticking with his man. He’s great in press coverage. His first step is solid and he sticks with his man stride for stride. Great transition defense and offers versatility on the outside.
Zone Coverage Ability 8.5/10 Good break on the ball. Plays well in the flat as well as downfield.
Tackling 8/10 He doesn’t try to do too much. He has good strength to bring the ballcarrier to the ground as well as sound technique. No concerns here.
Ball Skills 9.5/10 He’s a really violent, determined player. He broke up a lot of passes and missed a few opportunities to turn plays into turnovers. He played through a broken wrist in 2019 and looked as good as ever when it came to breaking up passes.
Run Support  6/10 Not really a guy who can make plays on the inside. He usually loses battles when being blocked. He also doesn’t show good enough length to be effective here. Good closing ability if he can get to the ballcarrier.
Competitive Toughness 7.5/10 He’s a very physical player who has a nonstop motor. He tends to get stuck in traffic at times and lose his man, but his play strength is solid. Could use development here.
Awareness 8/10 He loses his man at times, but normally he’s able to read the offense and stick with his man (or in his zone).
Versatility 9/10 Ohio State does a good job making sure that their cornerbacks know multiple packages. Arnette is very good in man and zone coverage. He’s a good press corner as well. There’s no real concern for me when it comes to things that he can’t do.
Overview 81.5/100 No matter where he goes, Arnette should find himself starting immediately. He’s an experienced player who plays with a lot of heart. His versatility allows teams to throw him out there and not worry about any true weakness. He needs development as a run-support player but that’s the only big issue I see in his game.

Round Grade: Second Round

Projected Draft Position: Second Round

Pro Comparison: Adam Jones
