Corrigan's Gambling Corner: College Football

Hello, and happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. For those who don’t, happy “let’s make some money” day. Although there Ravens vs Steelers game has been pushed back because of Covid, we still have some NFL games to bet on, and maybe, if everyone behaves, we will have a bonus College basketball pick.

2020 Record: 78-67-2

Texans vs Lions (-3)

The Lions suffered a bad loss against the Panthers while the Texans had a big victory against the Patriots last week. There is just something about this that screams Lions to me. While past Thanksgiving day games have not been great for the Lions ATS (7-10 in their last 17) The Lions have a scrappy team and the Texans have a lot of problems. Expect a big day from D’Andre Swift.

Washington (+3) vs Dallas

It is so hilarious that this game has massive implications for the NFC East. However, much like the Lions, the Cowboys are 7-10 ATS in their last 17 Thanksgiving day matchups. Both teams are coming off big wins, especially for the Cowboys. Do we really expect Andy Dalton to have two consecutive good games? Something about Washington this year makes me think that they are a tough team to beat. They are not good, but they are tough. They will win this game outright.

Bonus CBB Best Bet: Gonzaga (-5.5) vs Kansas

I’m not going to sit here and pretend that I know anything about college basketball. However, I went 12-2-1 in CBB last year so you do the math. The experts are saying that Gonzaga is the number one team in the nation and who am I to look down upon the experts?
