It’s finally here, the National Championship. While it does mark the end of college football, we have a great matchup up ahead of us tonight. Two very explosive offenses, two blue-blood programs, and the clear two best teams in the country. Let’s end this College football season with a bang.

2021 Record: 8-5-1

Best Spread: Ohio State (+8.5)

Ohio State will have to do what they did against Clemson, score on virtually every drive. Even if they do that, it still might be enough to win. Both teams feature very average defenses and very, very, very good offenses. The reason Ohio State was able to win big last week against Clemson was their front seven just physically dominated the Clemson offensive line. With rumors flying around that Ohio State could be shorthanded on the defensive line, and the fact that Alabama has a much better offensive line, they are going to need to get some help from their defensive backfield.

Shaun Wade is one of the most talented players in the country, but Clemson made him look like lunch meat out there, and now you have to go cover the Heisman award winner. Ohio State just needs to play their game. They can keep up with anyone, including Alabama. Hopefully, Trey Sermon continues his Ezekiel Elliott Esque run through the playoffs. Alabama should win this game, but it will come down to the wire. Another thing to keep in mind is the health of Justin Fields. He took a nasty shot early in the game last week and looked to be in some serious pain. If the Buckeyes come out swinging like they did last week, they should cover, no problem.

Best Point Total: O/75

I mean, come one, you have to take this high number. As I said above, both these teams can score in the blink of an eye. Devonta Smith will be hauling in big grabs and next thing you know, Najee Harris just ran 30 yards into the endzone. Same thing with Ohio State. At any given time, Chris Olave or Garrett Wilson are breaking open downfield. Just sit back and relax, this is going to be a fun one to watch.

Best Prop (via Draftkings Sportsbook): Player to have the most receiving yards (Harris vs Sermon): Sermon (+140)

Sermon will more than likely be the feature back for Ohio State throughout the game. Master Teague has really been a disappointment this season after a promising season backing up J.K. Dobbins last year. Fields has always liked to dump it off to his running back and he did just that against Clemson. This is usually a bet that I would never take, but I love the +140. It truly could be the best value among all the props.
