2021 National Champion: Georgia (+700)

No, it is not Ohio State, Alabama, or Clemson this season. The Georgia Bulldogs are the best team in the country, and they will win the National Championship. After missing most of the 2020 season, USC transfer JT Daniels finally took control of the offense and led the team to four straight wins while throwing for 1,231 yards and 10 touchdowns with a 67.2 percent completion percentage.

After a Week 1 contest against Clemson, Georgia has a pretty favorable schedule. With one of the more talented defenses in the country and another top recruiting class, Georgia is finally ready to get over the heartbreak of 2017 and win their first National Championship since 1980.

Notable Value Picks: Ohio State (+600), North Carolina (+4000), Cincinnati (+5000)

2021 Heisman Trophy Winner: Spencer Rattler (+400)

Yes, an Oklahoma quarterback under Lincoln Riley is a Heisman Trophy candidate. Rattler is not a “great” passer, he is not all that mobile, and his decision-making early in the season last year was very concerning. He does not have one phase of his game that stands out. He is mostly just a great athlete.

However, he rebounded wonderfully, leading the Sooners to another Big-12 Championship and a drubbing of Florida in the Cotton Bowl. With a great wide receiver room led by Marvin Mims and Theo Wease and an improved defense, the Sooners and Rattler should have tremendous success this year. While going chalk on the Heisman winner is not always the smartest move, Rattler showed more promise than anyone else in the game.

Notable Value Picks: Sam Howell (+800), Bijan Robinson (+1600), C.J. Stroud (+4000)

Best Conference Champion Value Bet: North Carolina to win ACC (+650)

Howell is probably the best quarterback in college football this season. He is among the betting favorites to become the no. 1 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and he has a more experienced defense behind him this year. Over half of the defensive starters were freshman or sophomores in 2020, and it showed. They have a top-15 class coming into this season, and the majority of their five and four-star recruits are on the defensive side of the ball.

This is not a prediction. This is a tremendous value. Clemson lost a lot of talent, and Notre Dame will not be competing in the conference this season. If Howell can continue to progress as a quarterback, we may be looking at a fringe playoff contender.

Other Notable Value Bets: Georgia to win SEC (+200), Iowa State to win Big-12 (+350)
