Corn on the Ja(cob): Bet your kid’s college funds

Last night I went 1-1, which brings my two-day total to a shockingly mediocre 2-2. With that said, tonight’s the night I break the .500 barrier.

BOS +105 @ STL

Boston is coming into this game on two straight losses and find themselves in desperation mode down 3-2 in the Stanley Cup Finals. While that doesn’t bode well for them, they played so much better than St. Louis in Game 5 and essentially lost on a no-call on Noel Acciari. They dominated possession and had a 39-21 edge in shots.

Jordan Binnington stood on his head for the entire game, but tonight Boston is in do-or-die mode and will most likely throw the puck on net rather than trying to make that extra pass to get a fancy goal. St. Louis also has the worst home record in the playoffs this postseason. The only thing that gets in the way tonight is the refs.

In short: bet the house on Boston.

LAD -150 @ SF

The Giants are absolute trash so that really should be all you need to put some money down on the Dodgers. If you need more convincing, the Dodgers are sending Walker Buehler to the mound, who has a WHIP of 1.000 and has been pretty good so far this year. In his last five starts, Buehler has given up more than one earned run only once, when he gave up five against the Mets.

The Dodgers have also been getting great production from their offense so even if Buehler has an off night, they still have a great chance of winning—especially against the Giants.
