Chiefs vs Texans Best Bets

Corrigan's Gambling Corner: College Football

Its that time of the year. Football will be back on our screens as the Chiefs and the Texans will kick off the NFL season tonight. Now, what’s better than watching football? That’s right, betting on football.

In this special edition of Corrigan’s Gambling Corner, I will be giving my best bets for tonight’s action. Also, keep an eye out this Sunday for my full-slate of NFL picks.

Draft Kings Special Odds Boost Of The Night: Chiefs +101

Yeah, so if you are in a state that allows you to use the Draft Kings sportsbook, they are doing a special ods boost to kick off the NFL season. They will allow you to put down a max of $50 on the Chiefs +101. For those of you that don’t know what this means, the Chiefs can not lose by more than 101 points for this bet to hit. It is literally free money.

The Spread: Texans +9.5

Yes, I think the Chiefs are much better than the Texans, but 9.5 is a lot of points. I know the preseason is no indicator of how good a team is actually playing, but without a preseason, I don’t feel comfortable betting on the Chiefs -9.5 tonight. I still think that the Chiefs win, but they will not cover.

O/U: Under 53

Again, this is the first time we will be seeing any of these teams playing this season. I expect a lot of rust since this is their first time in a real game situation. My official prediction is the Chiefs will win 24-16.

Best Prop Of The Night: Patrick Mahomes To Score 2+ TDs (+3500)

Honestly, this may be a slam dunk. The offense runs through Mahomes, and without a real running threat (that we know of) Mahomes should hit this easily. I mean, you put $10 down on this bet, you win $360. That’s well worth the risk of losing $10, but you won’t lose because I only give out winners.
