On Friday, the Celtics fell to the Spurs in heartbreaking fashion, 105-102 despite 36 points from Kyrie Irving.  LaMarcus Aldridge lead the way for San Antonio with 27 points.

The Celtics went into Detroit on Sunday and came away with a 91-81 victory over the Pistons. Al Horford lead the team with 18 points while Aron Baynes had a big day on the boards with 13 rebounds.  Tobias Harris had 19 points for the Pistons.

A Monday trip to Chicago without Kyrie Irving and Marcus Morris proved problematic, as the Bulls beat the Celts 108-85. Twenty-four points from Nikola Mirotic proved too much as the Celtics were lead by Al Horford with 15.

The Celtics returned home Wednesday night to take on Nuggets, and came away with a 124-118 win.  A high-scoring matchup was highlighted by 33 points from Irving and 36 points from Gary Harris for the Nuggets.

Gordon Hayward out of walking boot

Gordon Hayward has shed his walking boot, a major step in the process of recovering from the horrific injury he suffered on opening night.  There is still no official timetable for his return, but this news is obviously positive in regards to a possible return.

“I’m going to try to move forward without the boot,” Hayward said to media Wednesday. “Depending on how my foot reacts, how much activity I’m able to do on it without it being sore, I could move back into the boot or I could never look back and never see the boot again. I’m just taking it day by day; today has been awesome so far without the boot.”

Marcus Morris out indefinitely

Marcus Morris is reportedly set to miss time with knee soreness.  This issue has plagued him throughout the season, and he has missed a total of 15 games this season.  No timeline has been set for his return.
