Celtics Missing Key Players Going Into Tonight’s Matchup

The Boston Celtics will be without Kyrie Irving (quad), Shane Larkin (knee), Marcus Smart (hand), and Marcus Morris (hip) for tonight’s tilt against the Atlanta Hawks. None of these players have a set return date as of now, but all are expected to return in the coming weeks.

This leaves the C’s with just 10 players available to check in, six of which are rookies. Boston was also shorthanded in their previous game against the New York Knicks on Jan. 31, but Terry Rozier stepped up to the plate and delivered in fantastic fashion. Rozier managed his first career triple-double in his first ever start.

The 6-foot-2 guard will be given a second start tonight and should expect to see plenty of minutes due to how shorthanded Boston is at point guard.

Boston has handled Atlanta so far this season, and will aim for 3-0 against the Hawks tonight in TD Garden at 7:30 p.m.
