Hall of Famer Jo Jo White, unfortunately, passed away on Jan. 16 due to pneumonia at the age of 71.

White was drafted by the Boston Celtics ninth overall in 1969 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015 after having a career that included two titles, seven All-Star berths, and an Olympic gold medal.

On Jan. 18 against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Celtic’s decided to feature his jersey and flowers in the seat that the late White was known for watching games from.

Furthermore, a tribute video was released on Twitter from the official Boston Celtics account.

From myself and everyone here at Prime Time Sports Talk, our thoughts and prayers are with Jo Jo’s family, and we hope that he may rest in peace.
