Like all professional sports leagues across North America, the NHL, for all intents and purposes, is swimming in unknown and unprecedented waters while dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. This global pandemic has forced the National Hockey League to hit the pause button due to reasons on both the safety and well-being of its players, team officials, and fans alike. Looking ahead to July 1st is always an exciting time for everyone around the NHL. July 1st in addition to Canada Day to our friends north of the border is also a time for NHL free agency, more commonly referred to in recent years as “Free Agent Frenzy”. At this time, unrestricted free agents (UFAs) are free to sign contracts with other clubs. Torey Krug, a defenseman on the Boston Bruins, is one of those marquee free agents. Pietrangelo is an established all-around great player that teams will no doubt covet this offseason, let’s take a closer look at All-Star and Stanley Cup Champion Alex Pietrangelo.
Hey, fine people of Tampa! You have a really good Major League Baseball Team! Of course with the worldwide pandemic going on right now, baseball and sports are completely on the back-burner for the foreseeable future. This doesn’t mean we can’t take a closer look at what’s in store when and if the 2020 Season is played out. Here’s what we can expect from the 2020 Tampa Bay Rays.

This week, the Boston Bruins signed two prominent college free agents. While one is their own draft selection from three years ago, the other one might be a steal for the Bruins.

Tom Brady’s decison also signaled the end of the longest-active tenured Boston sports athlete. Patrice Bergeron now holds that title and has had an impressive run of his own.

In the 2016 NHL Draft, the Boston Bruins seemed to ended up forced to select what’s left. It turned out to be a golden selection for Boston.

Regardless of how the season plays out for David Pastrnak, Brandon Carlo, Sean Kuraly, and Matt Grzelcyk, it will be one that they won’t forget.

Soon, Zdeno Chara will celebrate his 43rd birthday. Could we have seen his last NHL game? The future seems more uncertain than ever for the Bruins captain.
