The Los Angeles Rams win over the Dallas Cowboys was their first playoff win since 2004. It gives them their first NFC championship appearance since 2001. Therein lies their biggest challenge of the season in the New Orleans Saints.
When these two teams last faced off in New Orleans in week 11, the Philadelphia Eagles played their worst game in recent memory, getting run out of the Superdome, 48-7. We should expect the Eagles to be able to do a much better job at scoring with the New Orleans Saints this time. The Saints had a much different road to the playoffs, finishing up the regular season 13-3 and grabbing the number one seed. Philadelphia, on the other hand, had to dig themselves out of a 4-6 hole, winning five of the last six and beating the Bears in the wild-card round.
The Los Angeles Chargers will visit Foxborough for a meeting against the New England Patriots. Philip Rivers and Tom Brady will meet once again, this possibly being the last time they meet in their career. Tom Brady has had Philip Rivers’ number so far, with a 7-0 record. But, this game could have a different outcome.

I was in Indianapolis the day Andrew Luck led a massive 28-point comeback against the Chiefs whose offense and defense as a whole broke down and allowed the Colts to take advantage and lead Indy to one of the many Chiefs heartbreaks.
The Minnesota Vikings’ season was one with many highs and many lows, and they were one of the most talked about teams all season. Paying a guy who had played in one playoff game 84 million dollars will do that to a franchise, but the Vikings season was not all about Kirk Cousins (although it definitely felt like it at times).
News just broke. According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Freddie Kitchens will join the list of prestigious Head-Coaches for The Cleveland Browns. Kitchens, took over as Offensive coordinator after the firing of Todd Haley in week nine.
It’s no secret how bad the Colts offensive line was in 2017 – they allowed 56 sacks and forced their quarterbacks to constantly run for their lives every play. They were rated the worst offensive line by many of the NFL’s experts, and the offensive line was a focal point of improvement that the Colts needed to make to keep their newly healthy QB Andrew Luck on his feet.
Will this be the year that Isaac Bruce gets a bust in Canton? He was part of “the greatest show on turf” and may join teammates Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk in the NFL Hall of Fame.
The Atlanta Falcons 2018 season was somewhat of a roller-coaster, with many highs, and even more lows. The beginning of their season would end up providing a glimpse at how the entire year would play out, as they lost heartbreakers to the Eagles, Saints, and Bengals in the first 4 weeks, squeaking by the Panthers to start the campaign 1-3. Only 14% of teams that end the first quarter of the season 1-3 have made the playoffs since 1990, so Atlanta knew the odds were against them and they would have to turn things around.
The Chicago Bears host the Philadelphia Eagles today at 4:40pm ET. The Eagles again find themselves entering the playoffs with backup Nick Foles. The Bears are back to being the “Monsters of the Midway” again and hold the third seed in the NFC. Something’s gotta give.
