It continues to be the case with the NFL, which is it’s all about the moment. A team can be in the Super Bowl one year and out of the playoffs the next.  You can also have a situation like the San Francisco 49ers. Consider just a season ago the Niners would lose franchise quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a torn ACL, in week three against the Kansas City Chiefs and finish a dismal 4-12.

In a year where expectations varied, Russell Wilson once again put the entire Seattle Seahawks team on his back and nearly took them on a deep playoff run. The Seahawks suffered several injuries throughout the season, but Wilson and this Seattle offense somehow found a way to win a few big games on their way to an 11-5 regular season record, finishing second in the NFC West.

The 2019 season was one of many streaks for the Minnesota Vikings. Starting the season 2-2 with a 0-2 record in the division after losing to the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears, the Vikings won eight of their next 10 games, only losing to two playoff teams; the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks. However, the Vikings limped into the playoffs as Dalvin Cook struggled with shoulder and chest injuries, and the team finished the year on a two-game losing streak.
