Which three storylines should Indianapolis Colts fans keep an eye on in 2020?
The NFC East arguably has some of the most passionate fans in the NFL. It also has some of the weirdest divisional games, which are always unpredictable. The four teams each have a young quarterback of which makes every game exciting. While the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have each won the division twice in the past four years, the Giants and Redskins are starting to accumulate talent. With the 2020 schedule set, there are some significant games each NFC East team will play. With that said, this is an eight-part series where our Scorecrow NFL analysts do an early prediction of the wins and losses of each team. We projected all 256 games and have the winners and losers of each division!
The Bears did not hit very many bold predictions in 2019. David Montgomery didn’t rush for 1000 yards, Mitchell Trubisky didn’t take a step forward, and the defense regressed. They won four fewer games than they did in 2018. With that being said I expect that to change this season. Below are some bold predictions for the Bears 2020 season. Yes call me crazy but I see them as contenders to win the Super Bowl come February.

Quarterbacks making their debut against Bill Belichick-led teams struggle immensely, but the track record is much more positive for those making their debut under his leadership.

What can be expected of New York Jets young quarterback Sam Darnold in 2020?
Is this the beginning of a new dynasty? With the Super Bowl winning Kansas City Chiefs, not losing any pieces, it will be difficult for the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers to compete with them. However, the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers, each made strides to improve their offenses. This division has the potential for some close and meaningful games to determine who makes the playoffs. With the 2020 schedule set, there are some significant games each AFC West team will play. With that said, this is an eight-part series where our Scorecrow NFL analysts do an early prediction of the wins and losses of each team. We projected all 256 games and have the winners and losers of each division!

Aaron Hubert takes a look at each Broncos game, as well as predicting the outcome:

Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland will not be returning to the ESPN Monday Night Football crew.
The NFC North has had three different divisional winners in the past three years. Each year it seems that the balance of power shifts from one team to another in the north, as each of the four teams excels in an important part of the game. Overall, this is one of the most complete divisions in terms of talent and depth on each team, meaning each game will be very close. Additionally, there is an extra playoff wildcard spot, where the north could see three of its teams in the playoffs. With that said, this is an eight-part series where our Scorecrow NFL analysts do an early prediction of the wins and losses of each team. We projected all 256 games and have the winners and losers of each division!
Last season is one Steelers fans would like to forget. Upon losing Ben Roethlisberger in the second game of the year, everyone was treated to a steady diet of Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges. Despite the defense being among the top five in the league statistically, the Steelers’ offense suffered. One has to respect the fact that they were nearly a playoff team with such mediocre quarterback play. An optimist would say the Steelers could be a significantly better team with Roethlisberger back at the helm. With all of that taken care of, I’m going to make five bold predictions for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020.
The AFC East has been dominated by the New England Patriots for the last 20 years, however, it is the end of an era. With the departure of Tom Brady, and the rise of young quarterbacks- Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, and Tua Tagovailoa – the division looks to be promising and entertaining for years to come. With the 2020 schedule set, there are some significant games each AFC East team will play. With that said, this is an eight-part series where our Scorecrow NFL Analysts do an early prediction of the wins and losses of each team. We have projected all 256 games here and have the winners and losers of each division, and you can find all of the other projections here.
