The Bears did not hit very many bold predictions in 2019. David Montgomery didn’t rush for 1000 yards, Mitchell Trubisky didn’t take a step forward, and the defense regressed. They won four fewer games than they did in 2018. With that being said I expect that to change this season. Below are some bold predictions for the Bears 2020 season. Yes call me crazy but I see them as contenders to win the Super Bowl come February.

Is this the beginning of a new dynasty? With the Super Bowl winning Kansas City Chiefs, not losing any pieces, it will be difficult for the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers to compete with them. However, the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers, each made strides to improve their offenses. This division has the potential for some close and meaningful games to determine who makes the playoffs. With the 2020 schedule set, there are some significant games each AFC West team will play. The NFC North has had three different divisional winners in the past three years. Each year it seems that the balance of power shifts from one team to another in the north, as each of the four teams excels in an important part of the game. Overall, this is one of the most complete divisions in terms of talent and depth on each team, meaning each game will be very close. Additionally, there is an extra playoff wildcard spot, where the north could see three of its teams in the playoffs. Last season is one Steelers fans would like to forget. Upon losing Ben Roethlisberger in the second game of the year, everyone was treated to a steady diet of Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges. Despite the defense being among the top five in the league statistically, the Steelers’ offense suffered. One has to respect the fact that they were nearly a playoff team with such mediocre quarterback play. An optimist would say the Steelers could be a significantly better team with Roethlisberger back at the helm. With all of that taken care of, I’m going to make five bold predictions for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020.

The AFC East has been dominated by the New England Patriots for the last 20 years, however, it is the end of an era. With the departure of Tom Brady, and the rise of young quarterbacks- Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, and Tua Tagovailoa – the division looks to be promising and entertaining for years to come. The NFC South is arguably one of the most offensive driven divisions. As well, each offense has improved over the offseason, but the biggest addition is Tom Brady. With Brady and other quarterbacks like Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, and Teddy Bridgewater, the division has no clear winner. Last season a quarterback controversy plagued this team through the first six games. One coaching decision led the Titans to the playoffs. Once there they didn’t stop, they upset the New England Patriots and essentially ended the dynasty. They followed that up with an even more shocking upset of the AFC favorites the Baltimore Ravens. Their luck ran out against Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game. Here are my five bold predictions for the Tennessee Titans.
