Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn suggested the team could pursue free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
It appears that the relationship between Jamal Adams and the Jets’ front office has reached the “gotten too sour” point.
The New York Jets are in the right direction. Joe Douglas had his first offseason this year and spent the downtime looking to surround and help Sam Darnold any way possible. The offensive line is completely remade, including their first-round selection being spent on an offensive tackle. Unfortunately, though, the Jets still have Adam Gase who is once again on the hot seat heading into the 2020 season. Gase will have to show some development from Darnold to keep his job at all.
Over the offseason, the Denver Broncos signed Melvin Gordon to a two-year, $16 million contract. He joins a backfield that already boasts Pro Bowl running back Phillip Lindsay. While most assume Gordon will take over as the lead running back, I fully expect him and Lindsay to form a dynamic one-two punch this season. Gordon may have gotten paid like a top-five back this summer but Lindsay isn’t going anywhere.
Jeremy Guerin examines the Patriots roster and identifies what position group is the most lacking.
The New England Patriots suffered a lot of losses this offseason. However, is there still a path to double-digit wins? Jordan Leandre thinks so.
Will 2020 be more of the same for the New Orleans Saints despite an impressive offseason? Joe Heller looks at the team’s three burning questions.
Last season New York Giants fans didn’t have much to cheer about. Although they were able to witness the end of the Eli Manning era, the face of the franchise for 16 seasons, who brought a pair of Lombardi Trophies to this storied franchise. The season went south after running back Saquon Barkley went down with a high ankle sprain and although he returned a few weeks later, the lasting effects lingered through most of the season. For a four-win team the outlook has nowhere to look but up.
Once again, the Lions coaching staff is on the hot seat. Matt Patricia hasn’t been able to take the defense to the height many expected he would upon his arrival. Detroit has a multitude of talented players but the coaching staff has failed the team overall. Two starters on the offensive line are now elsewhere and the team traded their star cornerback away for scraps. Patricia needs to prove that he can improve the defense and compete in a tough NFC North to keep his job.
