The 2020 NFL draft is finally here! With no live sports for several weeks now, the draft has been the center of the sports world. In addition to being the center of the sports world, it is also the center of the sports gambling world. There are hundreds of different bets that can be made from over/under on player’s draft selection to the number of cornerbacks selected in the first round to which quarterback will be drafted second after Joe Burrow.
J.T. Lambeta previews how the New Orleans Saints will approach the upcoming NFL Draft.
Really exciting back who was super productive in college and could be the first running back selected in this years draft.
After Thursday there are bound to be some talented players still on the board available for teams to pick on Friday at the start of the second round. My first round of this mock draft had six trades which dropped some talented players down the draft board. Let’s get started with round two.
Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR, Michigan, #9
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 212 lbs
Eligibility: Junior
Games Watched: SMU (2018), WMU (2018), Indiana (2019), Wisconsin (2019), MSU (2019)
We are almost there! The 2020 NFL draft is almost here and it’s going to be a draft like no other in NFL history. However, once the draft starts and the picks start rolling, everyone will forget about how the draft is being done remotely and focus on who is being picked and what team is trading up. Here at The Scorecrow, five of our NFL draft scouts (Givanni Damico, Mason Thompson, Connor Neal, Byron Jewell, Brady Podloski) have put together a list of their top-five at each position.
Welcome back to the final day of my seven-round mock draft! It’s day three and teams still have some holes to fill. A lot of guys taken in these next four rounds may have to fight for starting spots or even spots on a team, but a lot of them will end up making an impact at the next level. Let’s get into it.
AJ Dillon, RB, Boston College #2
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 247 pounds
Year: Junior
Games I watched: vs Clemson (2019), NC State (2019), and Florida State (2019)
The NFL 2020 Draft is this week and each team has an ideal prospect in mind. For us in the public, all we can do is look at the schemes, the team history, and the offensive and the defensive needs to determine the perfect prospect for each team. I pair each team in the AFC with a player who fits their profile and who is attainable with the pick they have. These perfect fits aren’t just limited to first-round players, but players in any round. With that said, here is the perfect draft fit for each team in the AFC.
Grant Delpit, SAF, LSU #7
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 203 pounds
Year: Junior
Games Watched: vs Alabama (2019), vs Florida (2019), vs Auburn (2019), vs Georgia (2019 SEC Championship) vs Clemson (2019 National Championship)
It’s finally draft week. All of the film that everyone has watched culminates this weekend. The draft will look more different than ever before as we will be watching Roger Goodell announce the first-round picks from his basement on Thursday night. This is my final two-round mock, which includes six trades in the first round. There are plenty of surprises along the way, and I feel this is realistic, yet it also consists of a lot of the craziness that comes with the draft each year. Let’s get into it, starting with the Bengals selection.
