Welcome to another edition of Cap’n Kielar’s Best Bets! For today, let’s dive into some NBA bets along with one College Basketball bet. I am going with just three top picks for today instead of the regular five, but nonetheless, it’s time to win some money!

Place your bets with Jazz Sportsbook for the best lines and promos.

Overall record: 5-4

Lonzo Ball Over 2.5 Three-Pointers

Lonzo has hit over 2.5 three-pointers in his last four games and in 10 of his 20 games this season. Given his ability to shoot from behind the arc this season (37.2 percent and 45.9 percent in his last 10), this is a very favorable bet. Look for Ball to have his fifth straight game with over 2.5 three-pointers and lead the New Orleans Pelicans to victory over the Chicago Bulls.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (+12.0)

These two teams are coming off an overtime game on Monday, in which the Lakers outlasted the Thunder 119-112. The Lakers have been able to win their last five games, but they have not beaten the lesser competition as badly as they should. The Thunder being given 12 points is a huge spread given it took the Lakers an overtime period to beat them last time out. Take OKC to cover and run with it.

Iowa vs. Rutgers (+6.5)

Rutgers has won four in a row, albeit against lower-level competition in the Big Ten, but taking them to cover this spread is fairly easy. Iowa comes in not playing well, 1-4 in their last five and 0-5 against the spread. So, having them as more than a five-point favorite is a bit of a surprise. Against a strong conference rival, this game should remain close.
