The Boston Red Sox could be in big trouble after these latest developments.
Per Ken Rosenthal and Evan Drellich of The Athletic, three anonymous people employed by the Red Sox in 2018 said some players went to the replay room during games to gain information regarding their opponents’ signs.
Boston’s alleged misuse of the replay room came after a crackdown from Major League Baseball. Ahead of the 2018 season, The MLB made it abundantly clear that the replay rooms could be used only for determining whether to challenge plays and not to steal signs.
This is the second cheating scandal reported from the Athletic in the last four months. We will update you as more news comes in.
