The New England Patriots have brought back one of their most coveted free agents.

Per Ian Rapoport the Patriots have re-signed safety Devin McCourty to a two-year $23 million deal.

Word circulated later in the day that the Patriots were making headway on an extension that will keep the Rutgers alum in New England for the remainder of his career.

With the re-signing of McCourty official, he is reunited with his twin brother Jason for their third season as a tandem.

McCourty is a three-time Second-team All-Pro, three-time Super Bowl champion, and a two-time Pro Bowler.
