Brady Made a Single Request to Buccaneers After He Signed

Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is doing what he can to get acclimated in his new home in Tampa Bay.

Per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times however, Brady does not intend to be a hostile takeover of the offensive culture as a Buccaneer.

“Brady never asked for control of the offense. He knew that [Bruce] Arians, offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen and special assistant Tom Moore would collaborate with him on game plans,” Stroud wrote. “He didn’t ask for any specific players to join him. He didn’t even ask to wear No.12 which for the moment belongs to [Chris] Godwin.”

The six-time Super Bowl champion did however have a single condition that he wanted met as a new member of the Buccaneers.

“There was only one request Brady had after he signed: He wanted the phone numbers of all his new Bucs teammates,” Stroud continued.

Even though the ink is not even dry on his new contract, Brady is already diving head first into the Tampa Bay waters.

Meanwhile, the Patriots have the daunting task of figuring out who will start under center for them this coming season.
