As if the Boston Red Sox needed another injury, it appears they will be adding to their disabled list shortly.

Gold Glove center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. has a sprain on the outside of his right knee, an MRI showed today.

The 26-year-old was held out of the lineup this afternoon after he collapsed rounding first base in the Red Sox 4-1 loss to Detroit Saturday.

Bradley Jr. will be sent back to Boston for further tests, and will likely miss some time.

The Richmond, Virginia native appeared in all but six games last season and hit .267 with a career-high 26 home runs and 87 runs batted in.

Through 17 at bats in 2017, he is hitting .286 with two runs driven in.

The Red Sox walking wounded already features Drew Pomeranz (10-day DL with left forearm flexor strain), David Price (10-day DL with elbow strain), Robbie Ross Jr. (10-day DL with influenza), Josh Rutledge (10-day DL with left hamstring strain), Carson Smith (10-day DL with elbow injury), Tyler Thornburg (10-day DL with trapezius strain) and Xander Bogaerts (bereavement list).

However, reinforcements seem to on the way as Bogaerts is set to return tomorrow and Pomeranz is scheduled to toe the rubber Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles.
