Quarterback Blake Bortles is scheduled to visit with the Los Angeles Rams on Monday. The former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback could soon be the back-up to Jared Goff.
Free agent QB Blake Bortles, recently released by the Jaguars, will visit the Rams on Monday, according to a team source… @AroundTheNFL @nflnetwork

In Jacksonville, Bortles went 24-49 as a starter. Last season, he threw for 2,178 yards with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. In the 2017 season, Bortles helped the Jaguars get to the AFC championship game but came up short, courtesy of the New England Patriots.
Sean Mannion, the Rams’ backup quarterback last season, is a free agent and probably will not return.
It is understandable why many Rams fans would not be psyched to have Blake Bortles on the roster given his history in Jacksonville, but he could be a solid backup to have on a contending team. With Sean McVay coaching him, he could return to his 2017 form if needed to play.
