The New England Patriots defense has not allowed a touchdown since last year’s playoffs but one man is not sold.
Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins told reporters after practice that the Patriots defense does not impress him even going as far as saying the first three games did not matter.
“We don’t care what they’ve done the games before because they haven’t played us yet,” Dawkins said to reporters after practice. “Once they play us and if it doesn’t change then that’s when y’all could start talking.”
He went ahead to basically call quarterback Josh Allen and the rest of his team a different breed.
“You guys have seen Josh, our coaches, really all of us, we’re just on a different mission,” Dawkins said. “We have something going and I don’t care who it is (that our team plays).”
Even though quarterback Tom Brady has had his way in Buffalo, Dawkins stands by his quarterback and says he will protect him at all costs.
“I love 12 and I respect his game and (as a) player, but I got Josh Allen,” Dawkins told reporters. “That’s really all I’m worried about is keeping that kid clean and doing whatever I need to do during this week to make myself better so I can let that kid play as free and fluent as he needs to.”
The undefeated teams face off on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.
