Over the years, Patrice Bergeron has been a constant face in the Bruins lineup.
Since making his debut in 2003, the Canadian center has been one of the best two-way players in the NHL. Although the talented center has missed time this year due to injuries his impact has not changed. Bergeron most recently dealt with a lower-body injury, but he’s been unstoppable over the Bruins last three games.
In 31 games this season, Bergeron has 17 goals and 18 assists. To no surprise, he has excelled on the powerplay, where he has six goals and 13 total points. Bergeron also has two game-winning goals after only recording three last year. His best work, however, has come in the past week as the Bruins have rebounded from their worst stretch of the season, winning three straight.

Over the past week, Bergeron has six goals, including three on the powerplay. He has two goals in three of the Bruins last four games and, going back to Dec. 17, he has been held scoreless once. His scoring stretch has helped propel a Bruins offense that has scored 13 goals in its last three games.
Furthermore, Bergeron is shooting the puck 14.9 percent of the time and has already landed 114 shots on net. While David Pastrnak has led the Bruins offense, Bergeron has played a key role when healthy on one of hockey’s best lines.
Over the last two years, Bergeron has taken his game to another level. He finished the 2018-2019 campaign with a career-high 79 points and has 114 points in his last 96 regular-season games. The veteran center is averaging over a point per game and is on pace for his third consecutive 30-goal campaign.

Additionally, Bergeron is excelling on both ends of the ice. He is winning faceoffs 57.4 percent of the time and has blocked 21 shots so far this season. The former 45th overall pick is proving his value to a Bruins team that is currently second in the Eastern Conference.
Although the season is far from over, Bergeron is just getting started. The veteran center has propelled the Bruins of late as he has been in vintage form in what has been an impressive season so far.
