Bergeron and Krug Return to Bruins Lineup

After missing significant time, Patrice Bergeron and Torey Krug returned to the Bruins lineup Sunday Night, and they both looked very sharp.

Bergeron had been out for a month with a fractured foot while Krug missed the last few games with an upper-body injury.

Their fantastic performances during their first game back are great news for the Bruins, who topped the Minnesota Wild in a 2-1 overtime thriller.

Krug took an early high sticking penalty but made up for it later in the game with an assist on the game-winning goal and some solid defensive plays.

Bergeron’s return brought the league’s top line back to nearly unstoppable form as he and his linemates Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak saw several scoring opportunities. Boston’s top center looked like he hadn’t missed a beat as he recorded a couple shots on goal during his nineteen minutes and eight seconds on the ice. He also recorded assists on both of the team’s goals.

The Bruins have been a seriously banged up team as of late, so seeing some big-name players have strong returns is a very positive sign for the team as they prepare for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
