The Kansas City Chiefs plan to pack Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Chicago Bears in what is sure to be an exciting game. Will the Bears be able to upset the Chiefs like the Lions did a few weeks ago, or will the Bears go down?

The Chiefs and the Bears square off on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. While the Chiefs got back into the win column, the Bears have had an unfortunate start to the season. Both teams are not playing their best football, but only one will come away with the win.

The Chiefs are favored to win; however, if they continue to stumble on offense, they might give the Bears some hope. The defense for the Chiefs stepped up last week against the Jaguars, especially with Chris Jones back on the field and in the lineup. They have been hampered by injuries on the offensive line, with Isiah Pacheco (hamstring), Richie James (knee), Kadarius Toney (toe), and Justin Watson (ankle) being questionable or probable. Luckily, they have Kelce and depth at the running back position to possibly overcome any deficits on the field. On the defensive side, Nic Jones (hand) is probable at best.

Not a walk in the park for the Chiefs, but it is manageable. All bets are off when Patrick Mahomes is on the field.

For the Bears to win, both sides of the ball must get their act together. The best way for the team to have a good game is if they let Justin Fields be himself. He has not looked like the player he was last season. If the Bears are to have any chance, then their offense will need to play like they are not scared. They have been too reserved and need to break out. However, that may not be easy against the defense of the Chiefs.

The Bears’ defense will need to tackle better. They know they will not stop Mahomes, so they need to limit the yards after the pass or handoff if they want an opportunity to slow the Chiefs down. The Bears have their share of injuries; most notable are Braxton Jones on injured reserve for issues with his neck, Khalid Kareem is also out, and Nate Davis is questionable for the game.

It is not an ideal situation for the Bears, but the Lions showed that the Chiefs are not unbeatable. Chicago just needs to play their game.

Betting Odds

Odds courtesy of DraftKings

Point Spread: CHI +12.5 (-108), KC -12.5 (-112)
Moneyline: CHI ( +525), KC (-750)
Over/Under: O/U 48, CHI (-108), KC (-112)

The Chiefs are the favorite to win. However, it may be possible for the Bears to surprise everyone like the Lions did. A Chiefs win is a good bet, but if you want to be a rebel, the Bears are waiting for your support.

What To Watch For

It will be interesting to see if the Chiefs’ offense will continue to underproduce or if the young players will finally get in the groove. With zero momentum going into the game, the Bears will have to overcome not just those shortcomings but all off-field issues they are struggling with.

Look for the Chiefs to get back into an offensive groove and the Bears to attempt a miracle of a win. If only the strong survive and win, the chances of a Chiefs victory are almost a given. No matter the outcome, keep an eye on the Bears. Even if they lose, it will be a start in the right direction if they can find their way back to who they were last season.
