Detroit Lions Week 17 Recap- The End Describes The Season

If you’re a Lions fan (or, at least, have read my recaps throughout the season), you know this story all too well. Having another lead during the game, only to see it slip away in the end. A 23-20 defeat puts a cap on a 3-12-1 season, one that started filled with optimism only to end with the third pick in the draft.

Detroit Lions Week 16 Recap- The Nightmare Is Almost Over

Indeed it is. With one game left, Lions fans must feel like they are going through hell. Or, at least, compared to expectations at the start of the year. A 27-17 loss to the Denver Broncos has brought the Lions record to 3-11-1… which could also be a recipe to an alcoholic drink. Lions fans have probably consumed a lot of those this season. Plus, while playing Denver, Orange Crush could be a drink of choice.

Why Coaches' Conduct Needs To Be Addressed

Recently in the NHL news cycle, it seemed that every other day we would hear new allegations about coaching misconduct. Over the course of what seems like months, but in reality, has only been less than a month since the allegations against former Calgary Flames head coach Bill Peters from his days as the head coach of the Rockford Ice Hogs in the AHL. There’s also no doubt that the Lions will not quit, despite elimination on Thanksgiving. Just about everything that could go wrong did, and there isn’t too much more to it. But, like every other game, there are three points to take from it. Let’s look at them now.

Detroit Lions Week 14 Recap- Skoled

Lions fans were served elimination from the playoffs at the Thanksgiving Dinner table last week. Unfortunately, this week, they were served seconds. A 20-7 loss in the first game all season in which they did not have a lead brings the already-eliminated team to 3-9-1. As for Minnesota, they got a much-needed victory for their playoff hopes and improve to 9-4 on the year.

Detroit Lions Week 13 Recap- Elimination.

Yes, you read that right. At 3-8-1, the Detroit Lions have become the first team in the NFC to be eliminated from playoff contention. This brings another two questions to my plate that came a lot sooner than I’d anticipated. “What’s the point of the last four games? What’s the point of these recaps now?”

Detroit Lions Week 12 Recap- Lions Red(skinned) in the Face

Ever had a moment in your life where you’re so embarrassed to where you’re red in the face? Well, that’s the inspiration for this week’s title. Losing 19-16 to a one-win Washington Redskin team can make any team feel red in the face, and Lions fans have sadly seen this time and time again. Nastia Liukin posted the perfect mood in which Lions fans should be feeling, too.
