The Pittsburgh Panthers have many intriguing prospects heading to the 2021 NFL Draft. Pittsburgh is sending two pass rushers to the NFL with Rashad Weaver and Patrick Jones II declaring. Jones may be the better of the two and offers some great traits in his pass-rushing and run-defending skills. He is likely going to be a day three pick and would be a nice value selection at that spot.

The 2021 NFL Draft is full of players with family ties throughout the draft. A player that many aren’t talking about that also has family ties deeper in the draft is Blake Proehl. Proehl is the son of former receiver, Ricky Proehl and his brother is a receiver for the 49ers. The younger brother offers a different skillset than his brother and father and is hardly getting any talk as a day three steal.

2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Spencer Brown

Spencer Brown is a top ten player at his position and I’m not talking about the tackle. While the Northern Iowa tackle has gotten a lot of hype, there is another player with the same name that is a good football player as well. This one is a running back from UAB. He ran for over 4,000 yards, 41 rushing touchdowns, and 19 career games with over 100 yards. Brown is seen as a consensus undrafted pick, but there is certainly more talent than that.

While Creed Humphrey, Landon Dickerson, and Quinn Meinerz steal the spotlight of the center position of the NFL Draft, there are plenty of other options later on in the draft. Jimmy Morrissey is one of them. Morrissey arrived to Pittsburgh as a walk on, but ended up starting all four years he was there, was elected team captain, and a three-time All-ACC Selection.

The quarterback and number one receiver share a special bond. That is what happened this year at BYU with Zach Wilson and Dax Milne. Milne burst onto the scene this year, catching 70 passes for 1,188 yards and eight touchdowns.
